Check In

Before You Sail

Guests will be required to show one of the following at the cruise pier to board the ship:

All guests 12 and over: Required to show proof of vaccination regimen completion OR a medically administered negative Covid-19 test result (antigen or NAAT) taken within three days of the embarkation date.

Guests under 12 (6 months to 11 years): No restrictions in order to sail, however it is the responsibility of the guest to be aware of any local protocols and/or travel restrictions in place at the visiting destinations at the time of sailing.

NOTE: Testing and vaccine requirements vary per age and cruise itinerary. Visit www.ncl.com/sail-safe for more details specific to Outlaw Country West.

Along with your eDocs, you'll need to bring proof of Covid-19 vaccination OR a medically administered negative Covid-19 test result (antigen or NAAT) taken within three days of the embarkation date, and your passport and/or required travel documentation. Guests under the age of 12 will only need their passport and/or required travel documentation.

Preferred form of vaccination proof is the original vaccination record document issued by either the country’s health authority that administered the vaccination or the guest's medical provider that completed the vaccine administration, however, photo of vaccination record document will also be accepted. Electronic vaccination records will be accepted for residents of countries where electronic documentation is the standard issued form. Confirmation email of vaccination appointment will not be accepted.

Complete your online check in between October 13th and October 31st using the Reservation Number we emailed you in an email titled "Your Reservation Number Is Here!". Before you begin your online check-in process, here is a helpful overview

Not sure what your reservation number is? Contact us and we can help.

After You've Checked In

All purchases on the ship are made with your Norwegian keycard. As you complete online check-in, you will be asked to put down a method of payment for all your onboard purchases. All purchases you make on the ship will be tied to this method of payment. We recommend doing this in advance! If you prefer to wait, you may set up your account once on board. If you prefer to set up a cash account, you will also do that on the ship.

Read up on all the details here.

Once checked in, you may book a shore excursion for our days in Cabo San Lucas and Ensanada, book an appointment for Mandara Spa to relax and rejuvenate between all of the amazing shows, or make dinner reservations for a specialty restaurant. As an exclusive offer for our guests, all specialty restaurant reservations made for Embark day (November 3rd) will receive a complimentary dessert or bottle of wine!

Our event schedule will be out soon and can help when planning these things!

Once everyone in your cabin has completed online check-in with Norwegian, you can print out your eDocs. (You will not be able to print until all guests in the cabin are checked in.) If your party is traveling and arriving to the terminal together, you only need to print and bring one copy of your eDocs.

This option is available on Norwegian's website up to 72 hours prior to sailing.

Packing

Required Documentation

To check in at the Port of Los Angeles and board the ship, you must have proper documentation. Do not place these items in your checked bag. Take it with you into the cruise terminal as you'll need to present it at the check in counter. You will not be allowed to board the ship without proper documentation.

To board the ship, you must show proof of vaccination at the terminal OR proof of a medically administered negative Covid-19 test taken within 72 hours of embarkation.

Required form of the test result is a printout or screenshot of your test result that shows the time and date it was taken, your full name, and the negative result.

If you printed out your eDocs, have them handy when you arrive at the port. It will help speed up the check in process!

If you were unable to print your eDocs prior to embarkation day, please proceed to the port with proper documentation. You will still be able to board the ship even if you don't have your eDocs.

Tips for the Terminal

Check your bags

Lighten your load! Check your bags with a porter before you enter the cruise terminal for easy boarding.

Bags will be delivered to your room by 8:00pm ET so be sure to keep anything you might need in your carry on bag (passport, medicine, etc.).

*Please note that curbside porters are not employees of Norwegian and it’s customary to tip them $1 per bag

Security

You can keep your shoes on but belts and laptops will need to go into a bin for screening. Also, wine and champagne need be taken out. Just like at the airport, throw away open drink containers, and empty your pockets.

For your theme night attire, please keep in mind that anything that may look like a weapon may be seized by security agents so it's better to leave those items safely at home.

Bringing Wine?

If you brought wine or champagne, stop at the table immediately after security to pay the corkage fee of $15.00 each for a 750 ml Bottle or $30.00 each for a 1,500 ml Magnum. Yes, you still have to pay the corkage fee if it's a twist off bottle of wine.

I'm on board, now what?

Cabins

The ship's crew will make an announcement over the loudspeaker when all cabins are ready and that happens around 2:00pm.

Remember, should you choose to check your bags outside the cruise terminal, know that they may be delivered as late as 8:00pm, so keep items you’ll need until then in a carry-on.

Cash Accounts

If you choose to settle your account with cash, a minimum deposit of $150.00 USD will be required. To set up your cash account, please visit Norwegian Guest Services (located in the Atrium, Deck 7, MID) as soon as you board the ship.
